Vincent Aranda, led his team The Spartans to the Staten Island Boys Football League Senior Division Championship as well as the American Conference Championship.

Kyle Bosserman, starting QB for the Eastern Technical HS JV team, in Baltimore, MD, led the JV Mavericks to a 9-1 record. Kyle’s Coach stated, “Kyle proved to be a very productive leader and strong quarterback. His 9-1 record does not give any justice to the amount of improvement from freshman to sophomore year.” Kyle also assisted the varsity team by running scout offense for the 2A State Championship Eastern Tech Mavericks during the playoffs.

Nolan Bosserman, age 10, fifth grade. The season record does not reflect the talent that Nolan brought to the 8-10 National Comanches from Baltimore, Maryland. Nolan is a multi position player and took over the quarterback position halfway through the season. The coaches even had enough confidence in Nolan to try audibles at the line.

Nick Casale, a sophomore at Tamarac Senior HS, became the starting quarterback for the second game in 2009 and held the position for the remainder of the season. He threw for almost 900 yards and 8 touchdowns. Nick was also named the 2009 Team Rookie of the Year.

Devon Donohue was the starting QB for the North Rockland High School Freshman football team in Thiells, NY this year. For the second straight year, Devon led his team to an undefeated season (last year in middle school). Devon was also selected his team's Offensive MVP, the second consecutive year that he earned the award.

Kenton Malachi Edwards was not able to play Quarterback this season, but made great contributions in the running and defensive games for his team. Kenton played in 17 games, scoring 14 TD's, 1 extra point with a total of 1083 yards rushing. On the defensive side, Kenton caught 4 interceptions, made 2 fumble recoveries and 95 tackles.

Jeff Gauweiler was the starting QB for the Montville Broncos in Montville Township, NJ for the whole season. The team went 7-2 and Jeff threw 7 TD passes and ran for a few more.

Ricky Greff, 5th grade QB, led the Pequannock Panthers Junior B team to a successful 2009 season. In one of his highlight games this year, down 19-0 midway through the 3rd quarter, Ricky threw for 2 TDs and over 100 yards leading a comeback that would end in a 19-19 tie.

Matt Haufe led his team, the Antioch Viking Feather weight gold to an undefeated 12-0 season and the Super Bowl championship.

Kevin Johnson is the only 7th grader playing on the 9th grade team at Cardigan Mountain School. In September, Cardigan Mountain, led by Johnson, won 34-0 against Eaglebrook. Johnson scored three touchdowns, two in the air and one on the ground in the shutout game.

Stephen Karoly, captain and starting QB for the Monroe Wolverines Pee Wees (Monroe Township, NJ) helped lead his team to a State Championship over the Shore Blue Devils 40-20 held at Rutgers University on November 29. The Garden State Championship capped a 13-1 season for the team. Stephen threw for 12 touchdowns while rushing for 7 on the season.

Colby Moore led his 8th grade, Springtown Texas Middle School team to an 8-1 record. Surrounded with great athletes. Colby went 70 for 114 on the season with a 61.4% completion rate. He threw for 1,437 yards and 17 TDs.

Mike Santos led his team, the St. Mary's Gaels, of Rutherford, New Jersey to the New Jersey Group 1 Non-Public State Championship game this season.

Braezen Subick, Quarterback at the University of Rochester, was chosen as the Liberty League co-offensive Performer of the Week in September. Subick completed 19 of 29 passes for 224 yards and three TDs in the second half against St. John Fisher. In the fourth quarter, he was 16 of 25 for 202 yards and three TDs.

Christian Suntrup, of Chaminade HS in St. Louis, MO, led his team to a 9-4 record and the Quarterfinals of the Missouri Class 5 playoffs. Along the way, Christian picked up early scholarship offers from Nebraska, Kansas, and Stanford.

Austin Swick, QB at Lifegate Christian School, in Seguin, TX, helped lead his team to the state quarterfinals this year. Playing six-man football, Austin was named 1st Team All State Spreadback. He also played in the state All-Star game and has been recruited by smaller colleges. Austin is academic all-state in several sports and has received an academic scholarship from Baylor. He was a NASA Aerospace Scholar and will pursue a degree in Engineering.

Timothy Triplett played his first season for the Columbus Crusaders (5th-6th grade league). Timothy was rated the #2 overall QB in training camp and led his team to a 5-2 record. At the end of the season Timothy was named to the tournament travel team as they faced some of the best in the area tournament.

Jeffrey Wozniak, capped an 8 year career of youth football by winning the SuperBowl this season with the Hessville Vipers of Indiana.

Erik Zeug, captain and two year starter at QB for the Montclair Cobras 5th/6th grade team helped lead his team to the American Division Championship over Paterson, in the North Jersey Twin Valley Football Conference. Erik threw 8 TD's and 0 interceptions this season along with a 71% completion rate.

Coach Johnston presented to over 150 youth and high school coaches at the BGYFL Coach's Clinic in Chicago, Illinoison February 21, 2009. The clinic, located at Halas Hall, the Chicago Bears indoor practice facility, brought hundreds of coaches from all over the state of Illinios on a snowy Saturday morning.
